Earthy Contemporary Design With an Open Strategy

After purchasing a house on a peaceful street in Sunnyvale, California, this couple wished to change its outdated 1974 Mediterranean-style cooking area into something that felt worthwhile of the forward-thinking Silicon Valley place.

For assistance, they employed design-build expert Bar Benbenisty and designer Maryia Bazhenka, who together went about removing walls and eliminating aging oak cabinets and other throwback functions. They broadened the footprint into a previous dining-room and developed an open strategy that integrates the cooking area, dining location and living-room. They then included a brand-new structural beam to rise the ceiling, offering the space a light and airy feel.

Customized matte black and abundant wood cabinets and wood-look floor covering integrate with fresh white surfaces to develop an earthy modern design. Smart devices, a big island with seating and long lasting marble-look porcelain counter tops strongly protect the area in the contemporary age.
