ABA’s Academic Flexibility Proposition Sent Out for Notification and Remark

The Council of the American Bar Association Area of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar voted Friday, throughout its hybrid conference in Chicago, to send out the recently developed Basic 208, Academic Flexibility and Flexibility of Expression, out for notification and remark.

The basic addresses the interrelated subjects of scholastic liberty and liberty of expression given that the advancement of the law and reliable legal education need complimentary and robust questions, exposition and the exchange of concepts, according to an Aug. 17 memo from the tactical evaluation committee to the council.
