In the wake of the turmoil at Mitchell Hamline School of Law concerning the school’s reaction to the Israel-Hamas war and a teacher’s social networks posts in assistance of Palestine, Interim Law Dean Jim Hilbert sent out an e-mail to the school’s professors, personnel and trainees Friday afternoon attending to the problems.
Melissa Weiner, a partner at Pearson Warshaw, who was an adjunct/affiliated teacher at Mitchell Hamline Law set up to teach in the spring, resigned from the school on Oct. 18 due to “my severe annoyance with Mitchell Hamline’s reaction to the horror attacks committed versus the Jewish individuals by Hamas on Oct. 7,” and the school’s “rejection to distance itself from the hate speech originating from inside the organization,” she informed Law.com recently
