A couple of things.

First, I've been listening to almost nothing but ambient music for maybe the past two or three months. I really tend to fall into it. It's excellent when I'm working. But just tonight, I turned back to my recent discovery: Film School. Every photo I looked at had a different flavor. Right now, I think that's a flavor I need. The ambient: it's a bit of the ol' gray hat. Comfortable. But... you know...

And at our all hands staff meeting today, there was a speaker who is an editor at the Oxford American Dictionary, and she was speaking to us about writing, work, writing, philosophy and writing. Anyway, one of her maxims said, in essence, no job is fun all the time. But, she said, just make sure you're getting your psychic paycheck regularly.

I want my psychic paycheck.

Love this composition with the strong line of mountain ridge - the subtle texture of the mountainside causes me to look deeper into the shot. Nice bit of glossy light there in the foreground, too.
