I think I really do need a wide angle lens. EF-S 10-22 I think. It's really expensive for a non L-Series, but there's just nothing that compares for wide angle. It's probably the last lens I'll ever need as I'll be covered from 10-200 except for 22-24.

In the meantime, I've gotten out to photograph for the first time in what seems like weeks. It was good to be out although on maybe 1 out of 3 long night exposures, the camera froze up after completing the exposure. I had to remove and re-insert the battery each time. This is the first time that this is happening and so I'm hoping simply re-installing the firmware should fix it. Sheesh: I'm talking about a camera like it's a computer. And after all, it is. But man, the day I have to reboot my car is the day I decide to live off the grid...

Tom,

I really like this shot, nice combo of horizontal and vertical elements and the snaking pattern on the road and a nice touch of chaos to it.

My only issue is the bleaching out of the highlights on the building. It's purely a personal thing, I want to see a touch more detail in the bricks. Possibly a touch of Adjustments > Shadow/ Highlights... in Photoshop may do the trick or levels in GIMP.

Apart from that...nice.
