Back - October 03, 2005

I'm back from a three day, two night hiking trip. It was great and I'm exhausted. I decided to take my camera. I'm not much into nature photography, but wanted to have it around just to document some of the trip. I left the 24-70L at home. Aside from the cost of that lens, it's also really heavy, and I didn't feel like lugging that around for ten miles a day in addition to a 38lb pack. So I took the 18-55 kit lens. Don't use that much anymore, but glad I had it along. It did make me realize just how much I need a decent super-wide angle lens. I have maybe one worthwhile picture from the trip. It is, alas, a sunset. But I liked it a lot. I may post that tomorrow.
