Rusty and a Little Bored - July 19, 2005

Tonight I got out for the first time in quite a long time to take photos. I felt rusty. It's amazing how quickly that happens. But pretty quickly, things came back.
I'm tempted to just take my camera to work with me every day. I suppose I should leave myself "open" to "seeing" things there. But I really feell like I do see things there -- and it just bores the ever loving crap out of me.
And speaking of boredom, having read through many different photoblogs over the last couple of weeks unable to photograph, I've seen the work of a few really interestinig photographers. It leaves me feeling vaguely bored with my usual shtick. I think I'll keep pushing forward with what I've been doing. But if this persists, it may be time to shake things up a bit.

I never leave home without the camera. I don't use it much at work, but having it along helps me to stay motivated to look out for opportunities. Keep plugging away Tom, I still enjoy seeing what you have done new. Not sure what to make of today's shot, though. :-)

That's the one big advantage of having a small camera...
