Hope - July 06, 2005

I think this is just a bad time. EVERYTHING irks the crap out of me. My car, my lousy cell phone company, this weather. Everything just pisses me off. It's ridiculous and pathetic and I have no real excuse. I'm a healthy guy with a great wife, a roof over his head, a well paying job living in the richest country in the world.

But speaking of the richest country in the world, here's somoething that really is worthy of getting pissed off about. It seems that a bunch of cities' mayors got together last month to voluntarily agree on meeting Kyoto Protocol standards. What's to get pissed off about with that? Nothing. But the fact that a bunch of local cities are stepping up to provide the leadership to do something that our pathetic excuse for a federal executive branch can't (or won't) is a truly sad statement.

But it is hopeful. Additionally, it seems that Portland, Oregon is already meeting the standards. And it did so not for environmental reasons, but because it just made for a better place to live.

Very interesting atmosphere in this shot !
Well done.

And I'm happy to hear that Kyoto Protocal Standard isn't buried yet.
Hang on !

It's the elevated subway station in front of Massachusetts General Hospital. I'm amazed I was able to hold the camera still enough to keep it from getting blurry.
